Pakistan has announced its 15-member provisional squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Sarfaraz Ahmed will lead the team in England and Wales. Mohammed Amir doesn’t find a place in the side after his below-par performance in ODI cricket of late. However, he has been named as a reserve for the T20I and ODI series against England before the World Cup.
Mohammad Rizwan, who scored 2 centuries in the ODI series against Australia recently, failed to find a place. Mohammad Hafeez is recovering from a finger injury. His participation is subject to fitness. Inzamam-ul-Haq, the chairman of selectors hinted that this is going to be the squad for the mega event. The last date to finalize squads is May 23.
