Ahead of the ever exciting and fan favourite match between India and Pakistan for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, a lot of buzz has been making rounds on social media.
The match between these two rival teams will be held on June 9 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York and would mark the 19th match out of the 55 scheduled fixtures in the season.
Amid all this, Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah’s wife and famous sports journalist Sanjana Ganesan has finally revealed the contents of the gift basket Bumrah had gotten from Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi.

Fans from both India and Pakistan were busy speculating the contents of a gift that Shaheen Afridi had presented to the then new dad Jasprit Bumrah.
This was at Columbo, during the Asia Cup 2023 Super Fours match between India and Pakistan after the match got disrupted due to rain. Both the players were returning to their respective hotel rooms when Afridi gave a gift box to Bumrah.
A video had been making rounds on the Internet in which Shaheen was seen presenting a gift to the new dad, and also congratulating Bumrah on the birth of his newborn son.
This move had inspired appreciation from fans from both sides as the players continue to play the sport with great Sportsman Spirit despite the infamous rivalry.
Here’s What Shaheen had actually gifted Bumrah
Ahead of the India vs Pakistan match scheduled for tomorrow, Jasprit Bumrah’s wife Sanjana Ganesan has revealed the actual contents of the gift they got.
Speaking on the Grade Cricketer YouTube channel, Ganesan explained that Afridi’s gift was not merely for show as it contained useful things for the little Bumrah that he still uses.
Sanjana Ganesan said, “Shaheen actually gave us a lovely gift basket during the Asia Cup, it wasn’t just one gift, there was a bunch of stuff in there for Angad that he still uses.”
With this, the fan’s can give some rest to their curiosity after almost a year now.
