Indian Premier League 2024 Orange Cap: Updated After KKR vs RCB and PBKS vs GT Match no. 36 and 37

In the 36th match of the tournament, Kolkata Knight Riders locked horns with Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Eden Gardens Stadium. In that match, the KKR batters showcased their batting magic. While opening the innings, Sunil Narine was dismissed in 10 runs. Phil Salt missed the half-century and walked away after scoring 48 runs in 14 balls. Skipper Shreyas Iyer scored an amazing half-century. He played a knock of 50 runs in 36 deliveries. They set a target of 223 for the opponent. 

While chasing the big target, Royal Challengers Bengaluru has shown great character. After Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis were dismissed early, Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar made an amazing partnership. Both completed their half-centuries and boosted their innings. Coming as an impact player, Suyash Prabhudessai scored 24 runs in 18 balls. Dinesh Karthik scored 25 runs in 18 balls. But the effort failed and they lost the match by a narrow margin of 1 run.  

The Thrilling PBKS vs GT Match:

The second match witnessed a clash between Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans. Initially while batting first, Sam Curran and Prabhsimran Singh gave a good start. Skipper Sam Curran scored 20 runs in 19 balls. Prabhsimran Singh scored 35 runs in 21 balls. Coming as an impact player Harpreet Singh scored 14 runs in 19 balls. Harpreet Brar scored 29 runs in 12 balls. They got all out in 142 runs.

While batting in the second innings, Gujarat played an ultimate game. Wriddhiman Saha scored 13 runs. Shubman Gill played an impactful knock of 35 runs in 29 balls. Sai Sudharsan scored 31 runs in 34 balls. When wickets were getting down quickly, Rahul Tewatia played an unbeaten knock of 36 runs in 18 balls.
