MS Dhoni and his glovework behind the stump just keep getting better with age. There is no other keeper in the world who even comes close to the skills of Dhoni with the gloves. His lightning-fast stumpings have sent many batsmen packing over the years.
If the batsman leaves the crease for even a fraction of a second, MS Dhoni is quick to seize the moment. He removes the bails in a flash and leaves the batsman wondering what hit him. In the current Indian Premier League, he is leading Chennai Super Kings. With his supreme skills behind the stumps, he is putting up a showcase like always.
In the 23rd game of the season, the MS Dhoni-led side took on Kolkata Knight Riders at home. Dhoni enthralled the capacity crowd with another quick stumping. When a spinner is into the attack, he becomes even more active and that’s what happened when Imran Tahir was bowling.
It was the first ball of the 11th over during KKR’s batting. The visitors were down to 47/5 as Shubman Gill lined up to face Tahir. The leg-spinner bowled a terrific googly that absolutely bamboozled the batsman. He missed the ball on the inside and was completely deceived.
Dhoni gathered the ball and removed the bails in a flash. Gill knew he had no chance of making it back to the crease as MS Dhoni was there behind him. The youngster didn’t even attempt to come back. The leg umpire had absolutely no doubt in his mind as he raised his finger immediately. Tahir was ecstatic as he bagged his second wicket.
