The twelve seasons of Indian Premier League saw some thrilling moments and some controversial ones. It gave birth to a number of memorable cricket moments and excited the audience. Most importantly apart from serious moments, it staged a number of light and humorous frames too that represent the spirit of this much-celebrated cricket league.
1. Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard are famous for their fun-filled. During the 8th IPL, Mumbai Indians player Kieron Pollard tried to have a chat with RCB blaster Chris Gayle but was interrupted by the Umpire. Then he was seen with tape on his mouth in the next over.
2. During one of the IPL matches in 2013 between SunRisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians, David Warner was facing Kieron Pollard. After an exchange of words, Pollard bowled a dot ball and Warner missed it. Then Pollard walked up to the Warner but the batsman tried to sledge and blew a flying kiss to Pollard.
3. In a 2015 IPL match between Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore, all of the players were walking towards the pavilion quickly as the rain started. On his way back to the pavilion, Yuvraj Singh, then Delhi players pushed Chris Gayle, his former RCB teammate. The Universal Boss reacted spontaneously and chased Yuvraj with his bat.
4. Royal Challengers Bangalore players often dance in the tune of Punjabi songs. Moreover, Virat Kohli, the captain is a ‘bhangra’ lover and loves to shake his legs on those peppy songs in each celebration. During 2015 Indian premier league, a video saw the skipper, Chris Gayle and Mandeep Singh dancing on ‘bhangra’. Even after reaching final in IPL 2016, they were seen dancing with Gayle taking the lead.
5. In IPL 2018 Dwayne Bravo was playing for Chennai Super Kings and took the wicket of Pollard who was playing for Mumbai Indians. Bravo was seen teasing Pollard when the batter was going back to the pavilion after being dismissed. The post-match session saw Bravo once again teasing Pollard when the famous song, ‘DJ Bravo’ began. Finally, Pollard reacted and gave his colleague a little push.
