On achieving the feat
During the innings break, on being asked upon his 6/21 spell mark, Siraj stated, “This wicket was such that you do not chase dismissals. Just hit the right length and you get the wickets”.
Once India thrashed Sri Lanka dominantly, ACC President Jay Shah went on to congratulate the entire team on this feat. However, amidst Jay Shah’s time on the ground, one moment rose above the rest. Jay Shah got into a detailed conversation with the hero of the moment, Mohammed Siraj. The picture immediately caught the fans’ eyes and went viral quickly.
During the innings break, Siraj asserted over the fact that you only get what is written for you.
“Last time also I took four wickets against Sri Lanka in Thiruvananthapuram but could not take five then. But I realised you only get what is written for you. I just tried to execute on my line and length and that worked”, he added.
