Jofra Archer available for entire IPL

The news of Jasprit Bumrah’s unavailability in the Indian Premier League has created quite a buzz. Jofra Archer, another star pacer of Mumbai Indians will, however, be available for the entire season as per Cricbuzz.

Jofra Archer to play in IPL

Reportedly, the officials from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the IPL have confirmed to Cricbuzz about Archer on Wednesday. He should be able to play a full part in the IPL and as always his franchisee and the ECB will manage his workload,” an ECB source said. On the other hand, an IPL official also added , “Jofra is very much available, have you not seen him in action in the Dhaka ODI.”

England are in Bangladesh now to play three ODIs and as many as T20Is. Once they are finished i.e after March 14 Jofra Archer will be able to travel to India. So he is expected to lead the Mumbai Indians pace attack and play the entire season of the Indian Premier League. No wonder, Mumbai Indians who invested a huge money on Archer (INR 8 Crore) in 2022 despite knowing about his absence in the IPL 2022, will look up to him this season especially during the unavailability of Bumrah. The plan was clearly to form a deadly pace attack of Bumrah and Archer.

Archer back after 18 months

Meanwhile, how the workload management of players by their respective home boards have not always gone well with the franchises. The boards often want the players to be fit for international matches and do not want them, mainly the fast bowlers to be utilized at a stretch for a number of games.
