Lucknow Super Giants have unveiled their new jsersey ahead of the Indian Premier League. LSG’s new outfit was launched by team coach Gautam Gambhir, owner Sanjeev Goenka, LSG captain KL Rahul, and BCCI secretary Jay Shah.
How is the new Jersey
With red stripes on either side, the jersey’s dominant colour is dark blue. The jersey is completely different to the previous one. LSG revealed the new jersey with an event tagline, “Naya Rang, Naya Josh, Nayi Umeed, Naya Andaar.”
The franchise organised a fashion display at the unveiling ceremony, and to top it off, numerous LSG stars participated in it. Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Jaydev Undakat, Deepak Hooda, and captain KL Rahul were present during the unveiling event. The squad debuted their new shirt in front of the BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, LSG owner Sanjeev Goenka, and team coach Gautam Gambhir. The squad will hope that the new jersey will bring them much-needed luck as the IPL draws near. Gautam Gambhir, KL Rahul, and Sanjeev Goenka discussed what to anticipate from LSG this season after the unveiling event. Gambhir, the team’s coach, highlighted that LSG’s success will depend on consistency. Compared to previous season, the circumstances will be different. So, their capacity to adapt will be crucial to achieving a favourable outcome.
With several high-profile additions made during the IPL 2023 auction, the Lucknow Super Giants have further expanded their team. To fill in all the gaps before the new season, they signed international talent Nicholas Pooran, Daniel Sams, Romario Shepherd, and Naveen-ul-Haq as well as Indian pacer Unadkat and seasoned spinner Amit Mishra.
Home matches for LSG will be held at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. On April 1, they will host Delhi Capitals in their opening IPL 2023 match.
