Madhya Pradesh League: Venkatesh Iyer And Rajat Patidar To Compete In Opener Match Between Gwalior Cheetahs And Malwa Panthers

The Gwalior Division Cricket Association is organising the Madhya Pradesh League, with backing from the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association from Saturday, 15 June 2024.

There will be five teams competing in the tournament that will span for 12 matches at the MPCA International Cricket Stadium in Gwalior. Gwalior Cheetahs and Malwa Panthers will be competing in the opener match for the tournament. 

This match will bring back IPL 2024 memories as KKR star Venkatesh Iyer will be playing for Gwalior Cheetahs while RCB’s Rajat Patidar will be playing for the Malwa Panthers.

The Madhya Pradesh League features 5 teams, that aim to represent different regions of Madhya Pradesh, predominantly Gwalior – (Gwalior Cheetahs), Malwa (Malwa Panthers), Bhopal (Bhopal Leopards), Jabalpur (Jabalpur Lions), and Rewa (Rewa Jaguars).

All the participating teams will play two matches against each other in the group stage. Team that finishes on top will get a direct entry into the finals.

The second and third-placed teams will play each other in an eliminator match, and the winner will then move on to play in the finals, that will be played on June 23
