After playing effectively in the 2023 World Cup, India faced a 6-wicket victory yesterday against 5-time World Cup champions Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In the second innings, Australia came out stronger and successfully managed to chase the delivered target in just 43 overs. With the win, Australia lifted the ICC World Cup trophy for the sixth time, with India getting defeated on its home ground with 1.4 lakh people witnessing the heart aching defeat. The hearts of a billion people were shattered to the core, with the whole country lamenting the loss with heavy hearts.
