New Look, New Era: Maharashtra Cricket Association Uznveils Dynamic Logo 

The Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA), based in Pune, introduced its new logo on Monday, August 12. The event was attended asby former ICC and BCCI president Sharad Pawar, along with team captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and other notable figures. The previous emblem, which featured a badge-like design with a castle and two arrows, has been replaced by an octagonal logo showcasing a silhouetted image of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj set against a saffron background. The new logo also incorporates cricket bats and a leather ball into its design.

The Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA), based in Pune, revealed its new logo on Monday, August 12. The unveiling event was graced by former ICC and BCCI president Sharad Pawar, alongside team captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and other distinguished guests. 

The previous badge-shaped emblem, featuring a castle and two arrows, has been replaced by an octagonal design showcasing a silhouette of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj against a saffron backdrop. The new logo also incorporates cricket bats and a leather ball.

In a statement on social media, the MCA announced, “The new logo was unveiled by former ICC and BCCI President, former Union Minister Sharad Pawar, BCCI Treasurer Ashishji Shelar, Maharashtra Cricket Association President Rohitdada Pawar, and Apex Board members.” The statement also noted the presence of former cricketer Chandu Borde, international cricketer Ruturaj Gaikwad, ex-Maharashtra cricketers, and former MCA officials at the event.

The unveiling video accompanying the statement highlighted the MCA’s eight core “virtues,” translated from Marathi as self-respect, organization, patience, strategy, steady intellect, diligence, restraint, and inclusiveness.

The MCA men’s team, one of the oldest on the domestic circuit, boasts two Ranji Trophy titles and a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy victory.

In addition to the logo, the MCA also inaugurated a new office. President Rohit Pawar shared the news on social media, highlighting the presence of esteemed guests, including former cricketer Chandu Borde and BCCI Treasurer Ashish Shelar. As the new domestic season kicks off in September, the Maharashtra teams are set to return to action, ready to build on their storied history in Indian cricket.
