Focusing on the Bowlers’ Fitness:

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is eagerly awaiting updates on the fitness of four young fast bowlers, who are potential candidates for the national team across different formats. Among them are Ihsanullah, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Arshad Iqbal, and Zeeshan Zameer. They are currently undergoing rehabilitation or preparing for surgeries to address their injuries. Iqbal is scheduled for examination at a medical institute soon, while Zameer is due for surgery in Qatar next week following a recent review of his medical reports.

Ihsanullah, who debuted in international white-ball cricket last year, has had two elbow surgeries in Faisalabad and Lahore. After the initial rehabilitation phase at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, he is now recovering at home in Swat under the supervision of a PCB-approved physiotherapist. Meanwhile, Mohammad Wasim Jr, who missed selection for the T20 World Cup due to a back issue, is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the NCA and requires more time to recover fully.

Forming New Medical Team:

The PCB has appointed a medical team led by Prof Rana Dilawaiz Nadeem, Dr. Mumraiz Naqshband, and Prof Javed Akram to oversee and supervise the rehabilitation and recovery treatments of these players. This team has been tasked with closely monitoring and ensuring the best possible care for the injured bowlers, aiming to facilitate their full recovery and eventual return to cricketing fitness.
