Rinku Singh’s “God’s Plan” Rubs Off On Virat Kohli As The Latter Wins ICC ODI Cricketer Of The Year 2023

Team India‘s legendary batsman and ex-captain Virat Kohli has added another feather to his cap by winning the trophy of the ICC ODI cricketer of the year 2023. 

Kohli has also been added into the ICC Team of the Year, apart from winning the ICC ODI cricketer of the year 2023, ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024.

While Virat went on to do the formalities of accepting his well deserved trophy, he shared an endearing moment with the young player Rinku Singh.

In a new video, Virat Kohli was seen saying “God’s Plan Baby” to Rinku Singh on his way to finish the formalities. Rinku replied with his own enthusiastic “God’s Plan Baby” in return. Indian Player Yuzuvendra Chahal was also seen in the background of the video.

Rinku Singh is one of the key players of IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders. It’s well known among KKR fans, that Singh is quite attached to the statement “God’s Plan Baby” as he was seen saying these words to KKR owner ShahRukh Khan even after KKR won the trophy.

Kohli left Tendulkar behind, made new record

In the ODI World Cup 2023, Virat Kohli had scored a total of 765 runs in 11 matches at an average of 95.62, with three centuries, six half-centuries and the best score of 117.

With this, Virat left behind the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, for scoring the highest number of runs in a single edition of the World Cup. Before him, Sachin held the record of highest runs with 673 runs in the 2003 WC.

Virat also broke Sachin’s record of 49 ODI hundreds, scoring his 50th century against New Zealand in the ODI World Cup 2023 semifinals.
