RR vs LSG Match 26: KL Rahul in excruciating pain as he gets hit on the elbow

In an intense match between the Rajasthan Royals and the Lucknow Super Giants at the Sawai Maan Singh stadium in Jaipur, a concerning incident took place. During the second innings of the game, Lucknow Super Giants’ captain KL Rahul was hit on the arm by a ball that was deflected off the pads of Rajasthan Royals’ batsman Jos Buttler. The incident occurred during the 11th over, which was bowled by Amit Mishra.

The full incident

Amit Mishra bowled a full-length ball just outside the off-stump. Buttler attempted a switch hit, a shot where the batsman changes the position of his hands and feet to hit the ball in the opposite direction. However, Buttler ended up missing the ball, and it struck him on the pads. Mishra appealed for the LBW (leg before wicket) decision, but the umpire turned it down.

The ball then deflected off the pads and traveled towards the short fine-leg fielder, who threw it back towards the wicketkeeper’s end. Unfortunately, the ball hit KL Rahul on the arm, near the funny bone, and the captain was left writhing in pain. Fortunately, the injury was not too serious, and after receiving initial medication from the team physio, KL Rahul continued playing for his team. Fans were delighted to see their favorite star back in action.

Despite the injury scare, KL Rahul continued to lead his team efficiently and put up a competitive performance against the Rajasthan Royals. Rahul’s resilience is commendable, given that he was hit by a ball that was traveling at a considerable speed, and the incident could have resulted in a more severe injury.
