Former Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was spotted casting his vote in the Maharashtra Assembly Elections on Wednesday. 

Tendulkar, accompanied by his wife Anjali and daughter Sara, arrived early at a polling station in Mumbai. 

Speaking to the media, he emphasised the importance of voting and urged citizens to actively participate.

“I have been an icon for the Election Commission of India for quite some time now. My message is simple: vote. It is our responsibility. I urge everyone to come out and vote,” Tendulkar stated, reinforcing his commitment to civic duties.

The Maharashtra Assembly Elections are being held in a single phase, with polling taking place from 7 AM to 6 PM. 

A total of 288 constituencies are contested, with over 4,136 candidates, including 2,086 independents, in the fray.
