After an exceptional journey in the Caribbean Premier League 2024, Sain Lucia Kings and Guyana Amazon Warriors locked horns in the final clash of the thrilling edition. While bowling first, SLK bowlers gave tough competition. Noor Ahmad was in exceptional form as he secured 3 wickets in just 19 runs. The other bowlers secured 1 wicket each. They restricted the opponent to 138 runs.
While chasing the target in the second innings, they lost the first wicket early as Johnson Charles was dismissed on 7 runs. Skipper Faf du Plessis walked away scoring 21 runs. But the table turned with a match-winning partnership between Roston Jones and Aaron Jones. Chase was unbeaten scoring 39 runs in 22 balls. Jones remained unbeaten 48 runs and secured their first-ever title.
Saint Lucia Kings defeated Guyana Amazon Warriors by 6 wickets keeping 6 balls spare. After waiting for long, the Faf du Plessis-led team secured their maiden CPL Title after long 11 years of wait.

After 11 long years, Saint Lucia Kings lifted their maiden CPL title. As the cricket world is celebrating the remarkable win, Saint Lucia Kings coach Daren Sammy’s old manifestation video has gone viral. Even before the season started, the coach manifested their win.
In the video, Sammy said, “I have a funny feeling, you know, 2024 is the year for the island. I think all the championships are up one, we need this one for Saint Lucia. I think it would be write up there. I compare this to the first T20 World Cup we won in 2012.” After the video came into the limelight, it went viral. Fans are going crazy after watching this.
