It is a huge relief for the star Indian batter. Shikhar Dhawan and his ex-wife Ayesha Mukherji parted away in life. The senior cricketer was subject to cruelty and mental agony by his ex-wife. The Delhi court judge accepted all the claims on his ex-wife. Ayesha Mukherji wasn’t able to defend herself.
The matter:
The judiciary system acknowledged Shikhar’s mental suffering being forced to live separately from his son for a long time. The court didn’t pass any judgment on the custody of their son Zoravar but it allows him to spend enough time with his son in India and also in Australia.
Ayesha is an Australian citizen. He has two daughters with his first husband. The cricketer and his ex-wife got married in 2012 and continue a long-distance marriage. In the petition, Dhawan claimed his wife promised to move to India as he was unable to move to Australia for his career. But a few times later, she refused to move here.
The court ordered Ayesha to arrange her child’s visit to India. Dhawan’s son can stay at his place along with family members during holidays.
The court said, “ he for no fault of his own had been through immense agony and anguish of living separately from his sons for years. Even though the wife denied the allegation, submitting that she genuinely wanted to live in India with him, she did not choose to contest the claim. The respondent, by conducting herself in the manner, has inflicted such cruelty, agony, and trauma on him, that it was impossible for the petitioner to save the marriage.”
