Gill’s century, his fifth in Test cricket and WTC, was completed with a single off Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s bowling on the fourth ball of the 60th over. The 25-year-old right-handed batter faced 161 balls during his innings, striking nine fours and three sixes. His exceptional performance has now placed him just behind captain Rohit Sharma, who leads the list with nine centuries.

In this match, Gill came out to bat at No. 3 after a disappointing first innings where he was dismissed for a duck by Hasan Mahmud. Pant also made a significant contribution with his own century, scoring 109 runs off just 128 balls.
