In 2003-04, in the fourth test match against England, Brian Lara showcased his batting masterclass. He played an unbeaten knock of 400 runs in 582 balls. He smashed 43 boundaries and 4 over-boundaries. In that match, West Indies declared their innings on 751/5. The match ended up being drawn.
Another unbelievable record is named after Brian Lara. In 1994, Brian Lara played an exceptional knock of 501* in a county match. He remained unbeaten on 501 runs in 427 balls. He smashed 62 boundaries and 10 over-boundaries. Those records are unbreakable till now.
