SRH vs PBKS: Sanvir Singh Runs Backwards To Take A Stunning Catch, Dismisses Ashutosh Sharma In IPL 2024 Match

Today’s IPL 2024 match holds the tag of the 69th match of the season. The two teams acting as opposition today are the Punjab Kings and Sun Risers Hyderabad.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has already qualified for the playoffs this season and hold the 3rd spot on the table, after a spectacular performance by their batting order in most matches. Punjab Kings holds the second last spot with 10 points to their name.

Sanvir Singh’s brilliant catch

SRH batsman Sanvir Singh has showed an almost australian-like fielding performance in today’s match.

The 27 year old ran backward and almost flew off the ground to take the catch on T. Natarajan’s bowl.

Natarajan bowled a slow delivery to Ashutosh Sharma who is a hard-hitting batsman during the penultimate over of Punjab’s innings.

Placed at short cover, Sanvir ran quickly in the backwards direction, and completed a catch with a reverse-cup technique while his body was up in the air.

The reason why this catch is being termed an “aussie-like” one is because the Australian fielders also never hold back from taking a catch.
