Suryakumar Yadav Creates History, Smashed 100 sixes in 47 innings While Batting at Number 3 or Below

 After the World Cup 2023, India and Australia are scheduled to play a five-match T20 series. On November 23, Both teams locked horns at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vishakapatnam. India bagged the victory in the first T20 against Australia. Suryakumar Yadav played an amazing innings and created a unique record.  

Sky’s Exceptional Record:

Suryakumar is the number 1 T20 batter, he proved that fact. After the high-voltage World Cup, India and Australia are playing their first series. While batting in the second innings, India was struggling a bit. Surya stands tall at that crucial moment. He played an exceptional innings. He played a knock of 80 runs in just 42 balls. He hit 4 over-boundaries. With those boundaries, he made an exceptional record. He became the fourth batter while batting in the number 3 or below position with the most number of six. In 47 innings, he smashed 100 sixes.

With this record, he surpassed West Indies star Kieron Pollard. Pollard smashed 99 sixes in 83 innings batting at the number 3 position and below. Eion Morgan is standing in the first position with 120 sixes in 107 innings. Virat Kohli is at number 2. He smashed 106 runs in 98 innings. David Miller comes in the third position. He smashed 105 sixes in 98 innings.

First T20 Highlights:

It was the first T20 of the five-match T20 series. Suryakumar Yadav is leading the team from the front. Initially, India won the toss and decided to bowl first. As the World Cup players are on rest, India is playing with more youngsters. Australia played well at the start. Josh Inglis played an amazing knock of 110 runs in 50 balls with 11 boundaries and 8 over-boundaries. Steve Smith scored 52 runs in 41 balls. Prasidh Krishna and Ravi Bishnoi got one wicket each. Australia scored 208 runs in 20 overs.

While batting in the second innings, India lost Ruturaj Gaikwad’s wicket early. He got out on a diamond duck. Ishan Kishan scored an excellent half-century and played a knock of 58 runs in 39 balls. Surya led the team from the front. He played a knock of 80 runs in 42 balls. Rinku Singh again successfully played the role of a match-winner. Till the last, he fought. He remained not out on 22 runs and secured India’s win. India won the match by 2 wickets and progressed in the series by 1-0.
