West Indies Drop Hetmyer and Rest Alzarri Joseph for Last Two T20Is Against England

The West Indies cricket team has made significant changes to its squad for the remaining two T20Is against England. Shimron Hetmyer has been dropped from the team due to poor form, while Alzarri Joseph has been rested.

Hetmyer, who struggled in the first two T20Is with scores of 2 and 1, was left out of the XI for the third match. His recent form has been a cause for concern, as he also had a disappointing outing in the preceding ODI series against England, scoring 32, 0, and 12 in three matches.

In place of Hetmyer, Johnson Charles has been called back into the squad. Charles last played a T20I match against India in August earlier this year. His inclusion brings experience to the batting lineup.

Meanwhile, Alzarri Joseph has been given a break ahead of the team’s upcoming tour of Australia, which includes two Tests, three ODIs, and as many T20Is. The decision to rest Joseph indicates the team management’s focus on managing player workload ahead of the demanding tour.

Oshane Thomas will replace Joseph in the squad for the last two matches against England. Thomas is expected to bolster the team’s pace attack and provide additional options to the bowling lineup.
