Rohit on the Support Staff:
After India won the much-awaited T20 World Cup Trophy in West Indies, Former head coach Rahul Dravid ended his tenure. From the white ball series against Sri Lanka, Gautam Gambhir took the charge of the team. Along with him, Abhishek Nayar and Ryan Ten Doeschate joined the team as assistant coaches.
Before this series, Team India welcomed a new bowling coach. South African legend Morne Morkel joined the team as a bowling coach. This Test series will be his first assignment as Team India’s bowling coach.
While talking about this, Rohit Sharma said, “I know Gautam Gambhir, Abhishek Nayar really well. Against Morne Morkel, we have played some really tough cricket. Ryan, I hadn’t much chance too but whatever I came to know about, he looks quite understanding in Sri Lanka. Like I said, I know Gautam Gambhir really well.”

Rohit on New Coaching Set up:
With this series, Team India will play with their fresh coaching setup. Head coach Gautam Gambhir, assistant coaches Abhishek Nayar, and Ryan Ten Doeschate, and bowling coach Morne Morkel will help the team achieve their new goal. Before stepping to this new era, the Indian captain is all excited.
He said, “ Everybody has their own styles – Rahul, Paras, Vikram had their own way. I have worked with different coaches, been playing for 17 years now so I know they all have different perspectives and you have to adjust accordingly. We don’t have any issues as such, understanding is quite important and we have that.”
The Indian fans are all set to welcome the longest format after long. Chennai is all set to host the game. After winning the two-match Test against Pakistan, Bangladesh is all geared up and ready to face challenges. On the other way, India is always dominating in home conditions. Both are looking ahead to an intense showdown.
