He wrote, “ As I officially hang up my cricket boots, I look back at my journey with a heart full of gratitude,” Sran wrote on Instagram. “Cricket has gifted me innumerable and incredible experiences. Fast bowling soon became my lucky charm and opened doors to represent prestigious IPL franchises, ultimately culminating in the highest honor of representing India in 2016.”

He added in his Instagram post that while his international career was short, the memories he made during that period would always be treasured. He emphasized the value of those experiences and the lasting impact they had on him, despite the brevity of his time on the international stage.

I am eternally grateful to the almighty for getting me the right coaches and management, who have supported me throughout my journey. Between 2011 and 2021, he appeared in 18 first-class, 31 List-A, and 48 T20 matches. He made his ODI debut on January 12, 2016, under MS Dhoni’s captaincy, impressing with a 3-wicket haul. He played 6 ODIs, taking 7 wickets at an average of 38.42. He debuted in T20Is on June 20, 2016, against Zimbabwe, with notable figures of 4/10, but played just one more T20I, taking 2 wickets. His last appearances were on June 15 and June 22, 2016, respectively.

In the IPL, he played for Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), and also acted as a net bowler for Gujarat Titans. Over 24 matches, he took 18 wickets at an average of 42.05, with an economy of 9.40 and a strike rate of 26.8. His final competitive appearance was in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for Punjab against Madhya Pradesh on February 28, 2021, where he scored 24 runs and claimed one wicket.
