Despite losing partners at the other end and seeing his team slump further to 50/6, Rizvi held firm. He mixed caution with aggression, hitting eight boundaries and six towering sixes. Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s Late Heroics Fall Short
Veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, playing for Lucknow Falcons, nearly snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Kumar, known for his ability to swing the ball and finish matches with the bat, played a crucial role in the final stages of the game. Batting at number 10, Kumar added 30 runs for the last wicket with Vipraj Nigam, giving the Kanpur bowlers a scare.
However, despite his best efforts, the duo fell short by just three runs, with Lucknow Falcons ending their innings at 153/9. Kumar’s all-round performance, which included tight bowling earlier in the match, was a highlight for the Falcons, though it couldn’t prevent a loss in their opening game.
