As the T20 World Cup is taking place in UAE, fans are enjoying a thrilling tournament. England Women and Bangladesh Women are locking horns in the 6th match of the tournament. While defending the target, English bowlers set the stage on fire. England’s spin duo Charlie Dean and Linsey Smith’s two consecutive wickets put Bangladesh under pressure.
In the fourth over of the second innings, Charlie Dean came to bowl and Dilara Akter was on strike. Charlie Dean delivered a quicker and fuller ball on the off stump. Dilara Akter attempted a low sweep but missed, and the ball crashed into all three stumps. It was a clear dismissal, leaving no room for doubt. Akter, realizing her mistake, calmly walked back to the pavilion, acknowledging the clear outcome of her attempt.
Linsey Smith struck in the next over. In the fifth over Sathi Rani was on strike. Smith bowled a full delivery straight to mid-off, tossed up outside off. Shathi Rani attempted to loft the ball but couldn’t get enough elevation to clear the fielder at mid-off. With just a bit more height, she could have gotten it over, but the shot fell short, leading to her dismissal. Those two quick dismissals put Bangladesh in trouble.

England Women’s Dominating Victory:
The sixth match of the tournament witnessed a clash between England Women and Bangladesh Women. In the match, England Women won the toss and opted to bat first. While batting in the first innings, England lost the first wicket in the 7th over as Maia Bouchier was dismissed scoring 23 runs in 18 balls. Danni Wyatt played a knock of 41 runs in 40 balls. Amy Jones was unbeaten scoring 12 runs. In 20 overs, they scored 118 runs in 20 overs.
While chasing the target Bangladesh Women faced some real struggles as England Women played dominating game. Linsey Smith and Charlie Dean secured two early wickets. Sobhana Mostary played a knock of 44 runs in 48 balls. But the English bowlers nailed the game. Smith and Dean ended up taking 2 wickets each. Natalie Sciver Brunt and Sarsh Glenn secured 1 wicket each. England Women secured a thrilling 21-run win.
