“Feels good to be back with the team”: Tilak Varma on his return to the National Side

The Indian men’s cricket team arrived in Hyderabad on Thursday, October 10, ahead of their third and final T20I match against Bangladesh. This return to Hyderabad was particularly special for local stars Tilak Varma and Nitish Kumar Reddy. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video capturing the team’s arrival, highlighting the warm reception for the two homegrown talents.

While Nitish Kumar Reddy has already impressed with his performances in the first two matches of the series, his Hyderabad teammate Tilak Varma, who plays for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, is yet to feature in this series.

Fans are eagerly awaiting Tilak’s potential inclusion in the final match, as India has already secured a commanding position in the series with dominant victories in the first two games.

India debuted two IPL stars in this series, with Mayank Yadav and Nitish Kumar Reddy making notable contributions. Both players have solidified their spots in the team, with Nitish being a standout performer. There is also speculation that Harshit Rana, a fast bowler from Kolkata Knight Riders who took 19 wickets in the 2024 IPL season, could make his debut in the final T20I.

After this series, the Indian team is scheduled to host New Zealand for a three-match Test series. Following that, India will embark on a tour of South Africa in November for a four-match T20I series, starting on November 8 at Kingsmead, Durban.
