Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi expressed excitement about his country’s Champions Trophy debut. “It’s Afghanistan’s first time at the Men’s Champions Trophy, and we’re ready to compete with the best,” he shared.

Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi, part of the defending champions, added a touch of national pride. “For Pakistan, cricket is more than a game—it’s our passion, our pride, our identity, and as defending Champions and tournament hosts, there’s everything to play for. I’m sure the whole of Pakistan is eagerly awaiting the 19th of February, it’ll be a spectacle like no other.”, he said.

The Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to begin on 19th February 2025. This edition of the Champions Trophy will be hosted by Pakistan. However, owing to political tensions, India’s games will be played in the UAE. India will play arch-rivals Pakistan on 23rd February. Teams are divided into two groups of four. The final of the tournament will be played on 9th March in Lahore. However, if India qualify, it will shift to the UAE.
