ICC Unveils Nominees for Men’s Player of the Month for September, Head, Jayasuriya and Mendis Make the Cut

In the cricket world, Aussie superstar Travis Head is a well-known name. The ace Australian batter has been nominated for ICC’s Men’s Player of the Month nomination. Throughout September, he showcased his exceptional batting ability in the limited-over series against Scotland and England. In the first ODI against Scotland, he played an unbelievable knock of 80 runs in just 25 deliveries.

Head maintained his impressive form during the ODI series against England. He scored 248 runs in four innings, averaging 82.66 with a strike rate of 120.97. In the last ODI, he also excelled with the ball, giving away only 28 runs and taking 4 wickets. These remarkable performances have made him a strong candidate for the prestigious award.

Prabath Jayasuriya 

Sri Lanka shook the cricket world with their brilliant performances in the last month. Their performance in the last Test series against New Zealand became extraordinary. Over the course of three Tests that month, Jayasuriya claimed a total of 21 wickets. He also reached the milestone of 100 Test wickets in just 16 matches, making him the fastest Sri Lankan bowler to achieve this feat.

Kamindu Mendis: 

In the last month, Sri Lanka grabbed attention with their exceptional performance against New Zealand in the longest format. Sri Lanka’s ace batter Kamindu Mendis showcased his impressive form again in the two-match Test series against the Kiwis.
