“If they go to Australia and play in that manner” Eoin Morgan Hails India’s Aggressive Test Style as a Big Challenge for Australia

The cricket world is experiencing some thrilling red-ball actions. Just a few days ago, Team India whitewashed Bangladesh in a two-match Test series. As the second Test of the Test series unfolded at Kanpur, Team India played attacking cricket. But their biggest challenge is on the way as the classic Border-Gavaskar Trophy is coming up later this year. Eoin Morgan, former England captain, praised India’s aggressive Test approach. He noted that this style challenges Australia significantly, like in Kanpur.

India’s Exceptional Win in Kanpur and Morgan’s Words:

After a long break, Team India faced Bangladesh in a two-match Test series. After sealing the first Test victory with a massive 280-run win, India’s win in the second Test was nail-biting. After the first day of the Kanpur Test saw only 35 overs of the game, the rain interruption called of the second and the third day. In the remaining two days, India played aggressively and secured the series win with a 7-wicket win.

Eoin Morgan praised India’s bold approach in Test cricket. He highlighted their famous win in Kanpur, suggesting it could challenge Australia significantly. He said, “If they go to Australia and play in that manner, a big part of that series will lie in the balance will be the fitness of Nathan Lyon and how they play (him). If they take that mindset into playing Nathan Lyon like that, it asks a lot of questions of Australia.”

India is the Best in Home Condition:

Since 2013, India has achieved an incredible feat by winning 18 consecutive Test series at home. This remarkable streak started with a whitewash against Australia. The last team to defeat India at home in a Test series was England in 2012. That is an exceptional example by Team India on home conditions.

While talking about this, Morgan said, “They have to be considered one of the greatest in their own conditions. What makes them so good is their hunger and desire to want to win. Their attitude towards that they never take for granted. “

Later he added, “We come from countries that have huge advantages for the home side. But yet our records over the course of generations are nowhere near as good as Indians.”
