What’s New in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25?
For nearly the last three decades, the series has been played in a Four-Test format, sometimes even less. However, for the first time since 1991-92, the series will be played in a Five-Test format. Australia won that series 4-0. Allan Border was the captain of the Australian Team whereas Mohammad Azharuddin was the captain of the Indian Team then.
This time round, Pat Cummins will captain Australia whereas Rohit Sharma will captain India. However, he will be unavailable during the First Test. In his absence, Jasprit Bumrah will captain the Indian team.
