RCB takes a dig at Pakistan’s cricket team after their series defeat against Bangladesh. The loss puts Pakistan almost out of the World Test Championship final race, while RCB highlights India’s dominant home record.
Pakistan cricket has hit a new low, suffering a humiliating series defeat at home against Bangladesh.
The Najmul Hossain Shanto-led Bangladesh side defeated Pakistan 2-0 in the Test series held in Rawalpindi, further denting Pakistan’s chances of making it to the World Test Championship (WTC) final.
This loss has triggered criticism from all corners, with the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) also joining in. RCB took to social media to subtly mock Pakistan’s home record, highlighting the difficulties of winning at home.

Pakistan’s Struggles Continue
Pakistan’s last Test win at home came more than three years ago. Since then, they have played ten Tests, losing six and drawing four.
This recent whitewash marks a significant setback for Pakistan, especially as they were outplayed by a Bangladesh side that had to contend with a rain-affected series.
Pakistan’s captain, Shan Masood, expressed his disappointment after the loss, apologising to the nation and taking responsibility for the team’s poor performance.
Masood pointed out the lack of preparation for red-ball cricket due to a ten-month gap between Tests as a key factor behind their defeat. Despite this, he emphasized the need to focus on improving and moving forward, acknowledging that there is no excuse for the loss.

India’s Dominance at Home
In contrast to Pakistan’s struggles, India continues to dominate at home.
The Indian cricket team has not lost a Test series on home soil since 2012, maintaining a strong record under various captains. RCB’s tweet aimed to highlight this contrast, stating, “Winning at home isn’t as easy as this team makes it look like.”
India’s consistent performance in home conditions has kept them at the top of the WTC standings, with a win percentage of 68.52 from eight Tests.
This strong record keeps them in contention for another WTC final appearance, while Pakistan languishes near the bottom of the table with five losses from seven Tests.
