A source mentioned, “Harshit was very impressive in the match simulation at Perth. There’s a good chance that he will make his India debut.”
In his first-class career, Rana has played 10 matches, taking 43 wickets and scoring 469 runs, including one century and two fifties. His recent performances have made him a valuable addition to the Indian squad.
Who Will Replace Shubman Gill at Perth?
With Shubman Gill ruled out due to a thumb injury, Karnataka batter Devdutt Padikkal will join the squad as a backup. He is expected to bat at No. 3 in the lineup. A source confirmed, “He is likely to bat at the No. 3 spot now.” Padikkal made his Test debut earlier this year against England, scoring 65 runs in his first innings.
