The 5 times IPL Champions won the game by 14 runs. It was a clinial performance. It must be commended that SRH maintained clawing their way back into the match despite dropping wickets during the chase.
In his final over, Arjun Tendulkar bowled brilliantly, holding the opposition to 20 runs and taking his first IPL wicket. For MI, Cameron Green had a fantastic performance today with the bat and the ball. On the other hand, SRH has a lot to think about. Although they didn’t play well, they still came quite near to winning this game. Rohit Sharma was a happy man after Mumbai’s win over Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday.
Rohit Said
Rohit showered high praise on young Tilak Verma and hinted that the batter might represent team India soon.
Rohit Sharma said “I like the approach of Tilak, we will see him in some other team as well soon (smiles)”.
The Mumbai Indians gained momentum throughout Tilak Verma’s brief innings. He scored 37 runs in just 17 balls to help MI before the final few overs. After that, Cameron Green took control and quickly reached his half-century in just 33 balls. After the five-time champions scored over 60 runs in the final five overs, Green and Tim David gave MI the winning edge. They posted 192 on the board. But this was possible due to a Tilkak Verma cameo.
In the current IPL, Tilak has a striking rate of 150, which is rather amazing. During the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Tilak scored 84, his highest total of the IPL 2023 season. Tilak returned to competitive cricket in that match after being injured in December of last year. Tilak had been injured while India A was touring Bangladesh. However, despite playing an outstanding undefeated innings, Mumbai Indians were forced to lose by eight wickets to the Faf du Plessis-led team. Tilak Varma has 397 runs to his name when he finished his first IPL season. In the IPL 2022, he recorded two half-centuries.
