Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is making strategic changes for the upcoming IPL 2025 season. The franchise has appointed Omkar Salvi as their new fast-bowling coach. This decision comes as RCB seeks to enhance its performance and finally clinch its maiden IPL title.

Who is Omkar Salvi?
Salvi, the brother of former Indian pacer Avishkar Salvi, has carved a reputation for his strategic coaching style. As head coach, he guided the Mumbai team to a Ranji Trophy victory last season. Despite his understated presence, Salvi is widely respected for his methodical approach and commitment to nurturing talent.
His coaching career includes a stint as an assistant coach with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), where he gained valuable experience in the IPL environment. Salvi’s contract with the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) concludes in March 2025, paving the way for his new role at RCB.
