United States cricketer Saurabh Netravalkar, who has impressed the cricket World with his brilliance during the 2024 T20 World Cup. Despite the outstanding performance, Saurabh went unsold at the IPL 2024 Auction. However, Netravalkar maintained a positive look rather than being disappointed. The 33-year-old pacer acknowledged the tough competition and remained grateful for making it to the final shortlist of the auction.
The left-arm pacer gained international recognition by dismissing Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the T20 World Cup. His amazing super-over defense against Pakistan further made his reputation strong. Netravalkar shared his thoughts about not landing an IPL contract to TOI.
Saurabh Netravalkar said “Firstly, grateful for getting shortlisted in the IPL final auction list. Yes, the child in me had hopes for sure but it was a high-quality player pool with so many top players also failing to make the cut, so I completely understand”.

Netravalkar reflected on his performance during the T20 World Cup, he shared how matches against elite teams boosted his confidence. He had dismissed India stars like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli “It made us believe we can perform at this level,” he said.
He also spoke fondly of reconnecting with Rohit Sharma and his teammates. Their appreciation for the USA team’s efforts meant a lot to him. Netravalkar remains focused on continuous improvement, using the World Cup experience as motivation.
