History:

Arundhati Reddy was born on October 4, 1997, in Hyderabad. Arundhati Reddy proudly donned the Indian colors for the national T20I side, making a spirited debut against Sri Lanka on 19th September 2018, marked by cap number 59. Her journey with the team showcased her talent and commitment until her most recent T20I appearance on 14th July 2021 against England.

A significant shift occurred in the 2017/18 season when Reddy donned the colors of Railways, becoming an integral part of their cricketing legacy. 

Her journey has been studded with significant moments. Back in August 2018, she earned her spot in the India Women’s squad, showcasing her prowess in a series against Sri Lanka Women. This marked the beginning of her Women’s Twenty20 International cricket (WT20I) debut for India on 19th September 2018 against Sri Lanka Women.

The momentum continued as she found herself named in India’s squad for the 2018 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 tournament held in the West Indies. Her cricketing odyssey reached another pinnacle in January 2020 when she secured a spot in India’s squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia.

May 2021 brought another feather in her cap as she was selected in India’s Test squad for a one-off match against the England women’s cricket team. Reddy’s consistent inclusion in these prestigious tournaments reflects her growing impact and contribution to Indian women’s cricket on the global stage.

Her prowess extended beyond the domestic arena as she played for Supernovas in 2019/20 and Trailblazers in 2022, making her mark in the Women’s T20 Challenge. The cricketing saga continued to evolve in 2023 when Arundhati Reddy joined the esteemed Delhi Capitals, bringing her talent and experience to the forefront in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Securing Arundhati Reddy for a base price of INR 30 lakh, Delhi Capitals made a strategic move in the inaugural WPL auction. Renowned for her ability to swing the ball early and unsettle batters with her pace, Reddy brings a valuable skill set to the team.
