History:

Titas Sadhu was born on September 29, 2004, Chinsura in West Bengal. She is a talented Indian cricketer representing both the Indian women's national cricket team and Bengal in domestic cricket. She attended Techno India Group Public School. Representing India since 2023, she made her T20I debut against Bangladesh on September 24, 2023. Five years ago, envisioning Titas's future in cricket might not have been obvious, considering her excellence in academics and prowess in sprinting and swimming. Despite scoring an impressive 93% in her school leaving exams and excelling in multiple sports, Titas chose the path of cricket, capturing our hearts. Her father, Ranadeep Sadhu, a former athlete, runs a cricket academy in Hoogly, adding a familial connection to her cricketing journey. Starting with helping her father keep scores at the family-owned cricket club, Titas faced rejection at 13 during State trials. Undeterred, she persevered, showcasing remarkable pace and swing.

At just 16, she defied the odds and earned a spot in the senior Bengal team, marking the beginning of her upward trajectory. Titas, now 18, has become a cricket sensation, known for her exceptional bowling skills and batting prowess. Her journey brings her to the Capitals Universe for the inaugural TATA Women's Premier League, where she is set to make a significant impact.  Sadhu earned the Player of the Match award in the final of the first U19 Women's World Cup. While being a part of the Delhi Capitals squad in the 2023 Women's Premier League, she did not get a chance to play. In August 2023, Sadhu secured a spot in the India squad for the 2022 Asian Games. Her international debut for India took place on 24 September 2023 against Bangladesh. Competing for India in women's cricket, Sadhu clinched a gold medal at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.
