The player not only made a very fast comeback after his nearly fatal accident in December 2022, but he also came back stronger, performing very well in the matches.
Speaking on Rajat Sharma’s popular show “Aap Ki Adalat”, Pant opened up, saying he gets scolded a lot too but doesn’t really care about it. He admitted that he didn’t exactly know what transpired between KL and Sanjeev as he was not present there.
“I actually didn’t understand what happened in that situation. It seemed so by looking at it, and although I’m not sure what happened, there was something there. When you lose a match, there are obviously a lot of conversations. But the way it was portrayed, I’m not sure. I didn’t see the video in real-time; otherwise, I would have given you an answer. I get scolded every day, but I’m also stubborn,” the dynamic India batter said
What transpired between KL Rahul and Sanjeev Goenka
Following SRH’s 10-wicket victory over LSG, a furious exchange of words and gestures between the captain and the owner was captured on camera, sparking extensive discussion and debate. Goenka appeared extremely agitated as he went on to reprimand Rahul, who stood there with a defeated expression on his face.
The video from this event had made several rounds on social media, making the exchange viral as fans sympathised with the puppy-faced KL Rahul who didn’t utter a word despite trying hard in the match.
Sanjeev Goenka was criticised by several people online, and the hate seemed to get to him as he was seen being friendly with Rahul in LSG’s very next match.
