WPL 2023 Purple Cap: Updated After Final Match Between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals

And the final crown is on RCB girls. The queens gifted the first-ever trophy to the franchise. After having a horrible season last year, RCB’s rise through the rank in WPL 204 is truly unbelievable. After starting the game with prowess they ended up lifting the long-desired trophy. Smriti Mandhana and Co. rocked the final and ended up the winner. 

After 21 successful matches, Royal Challengers Bangalore locked horns with Delhi Capitals in the final match of the Women’s Premier League. Both teams locked horns for the very last time in the tournament to chase the ultimate goal. RCB sealed the game even after struggling in the beginning. 

Delhi gave a desired start. Their opening partnership was 64 runs. But Sophie Molineux broke the partnership. That was the momentum of the match. After that, RCB bowlers dominated the opponent. Sophie took 3 wickets in 20 runs. Shreyanka Patil was excellent. She ended up taking 4 wickets in 12 runs. Sobhana Asha ended up taking 2 wickets in 14 runs. 

Alongside the trophy, Purple Cap was a big thing. Bowlers were running behind it. In the whole season, the name of the purple cap’s table changed after almost every match. But on the big day, for the final time, Shreyanka Patil bagged the Purple. In the whole season, the young girl was amazing. In 8 matches, she ended up taking 13 wickets. Her average is 12.08 and her economy rate is 7.3.
