Pakistani cricketer Shaheen Afridi and Ansha Shahid, daughter of former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi, celebrated their mehendi ceremony in a private gathering. The event took place at Shahid Afridi’s residence and was attended by close friends and family members.
The video from the mehendi ceremony, which surfaced online, shows Shahid Afridi enjoying the festivities with the groom, Shaheen Afridi, and other guests. The ceremony was a joyful occasion, with the couple at the center of attention, sharing special moments with their loved ones.
Shaheen Afridi and Ansha Shahid got engaged in 2021, and their nikah (religious wedding ceremony) took place on February 3, 2023. Following the mehendi ceremony, a grand wedding ceremony is scheduled to be hosted in Karachi, Pakistan.
The Walima reception, which is a traditional post-wedding feast, will be held on September 21 in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad. Shaheen Afridi will subsequently depart for India to participate in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, commencing on October 5.
Shahid Afridi expressed his joy and blessings for the newlyweds in a heartfelt Instagram post, stating, “A daughter is the most beautiful flower of your garden because they blossom with great blessing. A daughter is someone you laugh with, dream with, and love with all your heart. As a parent, I gave my daughter in Nikkah to Shaheen Afridi, congratulations to the two of them.”
The wedding celebrations have been a joyous occasion for the Afridi family and their well-wishers. The presence of prominent Pakistani cricketers, including Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Babar Azam, and Shaheen Afridi, added to the festive atmosphere.
