RCB begin practice with full squad

The much anticipated Women’s Premier League is just a few hours away. The tournament will kick off with the Gujarat Titans and the Mumbai Indians taking on each other at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium.

All teams have assembled in Mumbai and have started their practice session as a unit. Teams are posting videos of their practice sessions, in an attempt to create excitement among fans and get more and more people to cheer for them at the stadium.

One such video has come from the camp of the Royal Challengers Bangalore as well. Earlier today, the official Twitter handle of the RCB had posted a video, showcasing a glimpse of the team’s practice. The video tweet’s caption read, “Full squad practice ✅ We’re ready for #WPL!”

RCB are set to play against the Delhi Capitals tomorrow in the afternoon game. Thus, the team would like to gel up as a unit before the game in order to be able to deliver their best performances.

RCB, led by Indian superstar Smriti Mandhana, will enter the league as one of the favorites to win the trophy. RCB were able to rope in some of the biggest superstars of the game at the auction. New Zealand skipper Sophie Devine, England Captain Heather Knight, and Australian Veterans Ellyse Perry and Megan Schutt are all core members of the squad.

Sania Mirza, the Indian tennis star and mentor of the Royal Challengers Bangalore can also be seen in the video, talking to the players and giving them her insights. Widely regarded as one of the greatest tennis players of all time, Mirza is an unlikely but inspired choice for the role, given her lack of experience in cricket.

However, the decision to bring Mirza on board is a testament to the forward-thinking and innovative approach of the RCB management. With her wealth of experience in high-pressure situations and her proven ability to excel at the highest levels of sport, Mirza is expected to bring a fresh perspective and new insights to the team.
