India’s Tour of Zimbabwe: Full Schedule, Squads, Tickets, Broadcast Details & Everything Else You Need To Know

Fresh off their T20 World Cup victory, the Indian cricket team is set for a new challenge. A youthful squad, led by promising opener Shubman Gill, has arrived in Harare, Zimbabwe for a five-match T20 International series starting July 6th.

This series offers a golden opportunity for India’s rising stars to showcase their talent on the international stage. The squad features several exciting prospects from the Indian Premier League (IPL), including the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Abhishek Sharma, and Riyan Parag. Experienced players like Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube, who were part of the World Cup squad but didn’t see much playing time, will also be looking to make their mark.

Due to Hurricane Beryl causing travel disruptions in the Caribbean, where the World Cup-winning squad is currently stranded, some last-minute changes were made to the Indian team for the first two T20Is against Zimbabwe. Players Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma, and Harshit Rana have been added to the squad to bolster the team’s strength.

Three members of India’s victorious T20 World Cup squad – Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, and Shivam Dube – will be part of the series from the start. Additionally, Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed, and Avesh Khan, who were India’s reserves for the World Cup, will also gain valuable experience playing in this T20 series.
