Sahibzada Farhan has stormed into the T20 record books by smashing his fourth century in the 2025 calendar year, joining the elite company of Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, Shubman Gill, and Jos Buttler. The Pakistan and Islamabad United opener achieved this remarkable feat during his team’s emphatic 102-run win over Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.
Farhan continued his scintillating form by blasting 106 runs off just 52 balls. He struck 13 boundaries and cleared the ropes five times, scoring at a phenomenal strike rate of 203.85. His innings was a masterclass in aggressive batting, dismantling Peshawar’s bowling attack and helping Islamabad post a commanding total.
Before this dominant show in Rawalpindi, Farhan had already struck three centuries earlier in the year. He first notched up an unbeaten 114 off 59 deliveries while representing Peshawar Region in a domestic T20 match on March 15, guiding his team to an 8-wicket win. Just days later, he played a jaw-dropping innings of 162* off 72 balls against Quetta, showcasing his power-hitting ability. He followed it up with a 148-run knock off 72 deliveries in the semi-final of the National T20 Cup, demolishing Abbottabad and powering his side to a 56-run victory.
Farhan now becomes only the fifth cricketer in history to score four T20 centuries in a single calendar year. Chris Gayle was the first to achieve the feat in 2011, followed by Virat Kohli in 2016, Jos Buttler in 2022, and Shubman Gill in 2023. Farhan’s consistency and hunger for big scores this year have elevated him into this elite bracket, underlining his status as one of the most dangerous T20 batters in the world right now.
With the PSL still underway, and more matches in the pipeline, Farhan will look to extend his record and continue his dream run in the shortest format of the game.
