IPL 2023: Watch Preity Zinta reunite with her old teammates after the clash against RCB

On Thursday afternoon in Mohali, Virat Kohli‘s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) put on an all-around performance to defeat the Punjab Kings. By winning by 24 runs, RCB earned their third victory of the year and moved up to fourth place in the IPL 2023 Points Table. Meanwhile, as a result of their defeat, PBKS dropped from fifth to seventh place. In the game, Kohli and Du Plessis both hit two excellent shots. Du Plessis was unable to field, so Kohli took the helm.

However, the South African hitter played in the game, scoring 84 runs off 56 balls, including 5 fours and 6s each. As the anchor, Kohli played a solid 59 off 47 deliveries. When Kohli and Du Plessis fell, Bangalore could only muster 174 for 4 in 20 overs as their opening partnership of 137 for the first wicket collapsed. 

Prabhsimran Singh scored 46 runs off 30 balls as PBKS was bowled out for 150 runs in 18.2 overs while attempting to chase a 175-run total. In the meantime, Wanindu Hasaranga claimed two dismissals for RCB, while Mohammed Siraj took four wickets. Virat Kohli scored 59 runs off 47 balls as RCB reached 174/4 in 20 overs. Faf du Plessis smashed 84 off 56 balls in the meanwhile. Arshdeep Singh, Nathan Ellis, and Harpreet Brar all recorded one wicket each for PBKS’ bowling unit.

After the game, PBKS co-owner Preity Zinta, who frequently attends PCA in Mohali to support her side, descended the stairs to be with the players. There, she ran across RCB captain Faf du Plessis and the match’s substitute captain Virat Kohli. Preity Zinta appeared to be having a good time talking and laughing together with players of both teams. She was seen having an animated conversation with her former teammate Glenn Maxwell. The Big Show has represented Punjab for 5 seasons in the IPL.
