The Women’s IPL will start from 4th March 2023 till the 26th of March at 2 venues in Mumbai. The evening games will start at 7:30 PM while the afternoon games will start will at 3:30 PM. 11 commentators will be commenting in the 26 WPL games which will be telecasted on Sports18 and JioCinema.
Aakash Chopra
Akash Chopra has been commentating for quite some time now. Former Indian opener is usually seen commentating in Hindi and uses witty one liners to entertain the viewers. His analysis of game is on point and reads the game very well.
Venkatesh Prasad
The Indian fast bowler will be commentating in the innaufgral edition of the WPL. He also has a very good understanding of the game. He has also been a bowling coach for various IPL franchises after his retirement.
Zaheer Khan
Zaheer Khan has been mostly doing Hindi commentary since his retirement from the game. The left arm fast bowler has been closely workimng with Mumbai Indians franchise since his retirement.
Parthiv Patel
Indian wicketkeeper batter Parthiv Patel has got a very good commentating skills and is often seen as an expert on many platforms. His analysis of the game is accurate and draws attention of the viewers.
Anjum Chopra
Anjum Chopra is one of the oldest female commentators. She has done commentary in many world cups and has vast experience in this field. She is very active on social media platforms answering various questions about the sport.
Punam Raut
The 33 year old plays for India and is a batter who also bowls a bit of off spin. She and Deepti Sharma were a part of a record-breaking opening partnership of 320, a massive stand that also broke men’s game records. Punam has consistently performed well for India ever since she started playing international cricket.
Reema Malhotra
Reema Malhotra is a 42 year old cricket expert who made her international debut way back in 2003. She was a right handed batter and bowled decent leg spin.
Veda Krishnamurthy
At the age of 18, Veda Krishnamurthy made her debut in international cricket against England Women in a one-day match in Derby on June 30, 2011. Krishnamurthy went on to make her ODI debut for India with 51 runs. She bowls right-arm legbreak and bats with her right hand.
