Former India captain MS Dhoni finally reacted to one of the most talked-about myths about him during a Chennai Super Kings (CSK) event in Chennai. When asked about the most ridiculous rumour he had heard, Dhoni responded, “That I drink five litres of milk every day.”
He added, “I used to drink, maybe, a litre of milk spread throughout the day. But five litres? That’s a bit too much for anyone,” Dhoni said with a laugh, putting an end to the long-standing rumour.
During the event, Dhoni also addressed another strange rumour—that he uses a washing machine to make lassi. He denied it outright, saying, “First of all, I don’t drink lassi,” amusing fans with his signature humour.
Chennai Super Kings find themselves at the bottom of the IPL 2025 points table, managing only 4 points from 8 matches. Their latest loss came against Mumbai Indians, who defeated them by nine wickets at the Wankhede Stadium.
With Ruturaj Gaikwad ruled out due to a hairline fracture in his elbow, MS Dhoni has stepped in as the stand-in skipper. However, CSK’s fielding errors and inconsistent batting have continued to hurt their campaign.
Fans have been confused with Dhoni coming in to bat as low as No.9 in some games. His unusual position in the order has raised questions about CSK’s strategy this season.
Despite being one of the most experienced and impactful finishers in IPL history, Dhoni’s limited involvement with the bat has left many wondering whether the team is underutilizing its biggest asset during crunch moments.
Chennai Super Kings will play their next match against SunRisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday, April 25.
