Nicholas Pooran showed a heartwarming gesture ahead of Lucknow Super Giants’ home clash with Delhi Capitals. The West Indies batter met a fan he accidentally injured with a powerful six during LSG’s win over Gujarat Titans on April 12. Pooran not only checked on the fan’s health but also gifted him a signed cap as a token of apology and appreciation.

Nicholas Pooran’s Six Hits Fan in the Crowd

During the match at Ekana Stadium, Pooran smashed 68 runs off just 29 balls, including seven sixes. One of those towering shots hit a spectator directly on the head. The impact left the fan bloodied, and medical staff immediately took him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Despite the incident, Pooran’s fiery knock helped LSG chase down 181 with just two balls to spare.

Nicholas Pooran Meets Fan, Shares Special Moment

Before LSG’s next fixture, Pooran personally invited the injured fan to meet him during a training session. The two exchanged warm greetings as Pooran asked, “All is well?” and the fan responded with a smile and a thumbs-up.

Pooran then handed him a signed team cap. The fan, visibly touched, said, “It feels really good. Nicholas Pooran called me and invited me here. He asked how I’m doing. I’ll be at the stadium again for the DC match. Even if I get hit on the head again, it’s okay—Lucknow just needs to win.”

Lucknow Super Giants shared the video on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “Bas apni Lucknow ki team jeetti rehni chahiye.”

Nicholas Pooran Chases Orange Cap Lead

Pooran continues to impress with the bat in IPL 2025. He has scored 368 runs in 8 matches at an average of 52.57 and a strike rate of 205.58. He currently ranks second in the Orange Cap list and trails Sai Sudharsan by just 52 runs.

A strong outing against Delhi Capitals could help Pooran take the lead and boost LSG’s position on the points table. A win may lift Lucknow from fifth to second place, intensifying their push for the playoffs.

Pooran’s powerful hitting and genuine sportsmanship have turned him into a fan favorite, both on and off the field.
