Rashid Khan backed by GT Sai Kishore after his best performance of IPL 2025

Rashid Khan is not having his best IPL days. But he is being backed by teammates despite poor form. When Nick Knight tried to question about his form to Sai Kishor, Rashid’s spin-bowling partner came up with a strong response.

Sai Kishore backs Rashid Khan

In eight matches with just six wickets at an economy rate nearing 10 runs per over, Rashid Khan is struggling with the ball. Rashid who is a vital cog of Gujarat Titans claimed two wickets conceding 25 against Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday.

So far this is the best performance of Rashid Khan in IPL 2025. Former England batter Nick Knight who is part pf broadcasting team for this IPL, tried to question about Rashid’s form to Sai Kishore.

The spin-bowling partner of Rashid Khan in Gujarat Titans immediately became defensive and called Rashid the best T20 bowler in the world. “He’s one of the best T20 bowlers in the world.

He’s getting his wicket-taking knack back. As a team, we don’t doubt his abilities, I don’t know what it’s like in the commentary box. We all believe in him and I still believe he’s the best T20 bowler in the world.” He added, “We never doubt him. That’s why we want him to do well.”

Kishore addresses team game

Kishore then talked about his team’s performance as well. After beating Kolkata Knight Riders by 39 runs GT are leading the points table with 12 points. Kishore remarked, “The talk has been about playing good cricket, not about the results. Our fielding was very good today. We are just addressing areas where we can play better as a team.”

GT set a target of 199, thanks to 55-ball 90 by their captain Shubman Gill. During the KKR chase, GT bowlers managed to strike from the first over. The GT bowlers eventually restricted KKR to 159/8 to strengthen their position at the top.
