Former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram recently engaged in a rapid-fire interview, offering his perspective on several cricket-related topics, including the comparison between the IPL and PSL.
When asked about the IPL and PSL, Akram stated, “You cannot compare the two tournaments. IPL is huge and the PSL is huge in Pakistan as well, no doubt, it is like the mini-IPL of Pakistan.” His response highlighted the significant stature of both tournaments in their respective contexts.
In the same interview, Akram was posed with a choice between coaching Pakistan or Australia. He expressed his preference for coaching Australia, explaining, “I will pick up Australia, not because of my wife but because there would be less pressure there and I will be able to do my job.”
Regarding the comparison between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam, Akram stated, “Babar is one of the modern greats of the game but Kohli has written his name in golden words in the history of the sport.” His remarks emphasized Kohli’s exceptional impact on cricket as a whole.
Throughout the interview, Akram provided quick and insightful responses, offering valuable perspectives on various aspects of cricket. His comments reflected his deep understanding of the game and its players, making his opinions noteworthy in the cricketing world.
